Location: Faridabad (India)

Duration: Full-time, limited to 1 year (with possibility of extension)

About us

SOS Children's Villages, founded in 1949, is the world's largest non-governmental organization focused on supporting children and young people without parental care, or at risk of losing it.

Child neglect, abuse and abandonment is everywhere. Families are at risk of separation. Locally led, we work in more than 130 countries and territories to strengthen families who are under pressure so they can stay together. When this is not in a child or young person's best interests, we provide quality care according to their unique needs.

Together with partners, donors, communities, children, young people and families, we enable children to grow up with the bonds they need to develop and become their strongest selves. We speak up for each child's rights and advocate for change so all children can grow up in a supportive environment.

Mission

The Finance area takes a pivotal role in safeguarding and supporting the financial transparency, integrity and strategic governance of the federation. It is committed to sound financial management and effective resource use to maximise economic impact for children, youth and families in the care of SOS associations worldwide.

The function governs essential Federation wide financial standards and processes across Member Associations as well as the GSC, including the financial operations of GSC locations worldwide. The area covers financial planning and budgeting, accounting, controlling, reporting and audit, international funds management, and treasury services, supported by standardized finance systems and consolidated financial data regularly reported to governing bodies and stakeholders within the Federation.

To fulfil this mission, the FSC Finance unit is structured into four specialized departments including Financial Planning & Reporting, Funds Management & Shared Treasury, Accounting & External Audit, and GSC Planning & Controlling.

This global standards and process framework enables the IDS Finance unit to strengthen sustainable financial capacity across Member Associations in a tailored, needs based manner while meeting donor information requirements. It supports effective and transparent project funding throughout the financial cycle, guides adherence to global standards and federation regulations, addresses financial risks, and safeguards resources—thereby reinforcing donor confidence and contributing to shared federation goals.
