Who we are
SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia is an International Non-governmental organization and a member of SOS Children’s Villages International Federation. We started our humanitarian work in Ethiopia with the opening of our first Village in Mekelle, Northern part of Ethiopia in 1974. Since then, we have expanded our programs to different regions where there are significant needs for intervention and where we believe we can work in partnership with all relevant actors to bring sustainable positive outcomes for children’s and young people.
Today, we have grown significantly to meet the persistent challenges that confront Ethiopian children who have lost parental care and those that are at risk of losing their parental care. Working in close collaboration with international donors, local government and community-based organizations across eight program locations; we aspire that every child grows up with love, respect and security.

We are looking for training institutions who provide Life Skills and Financial Literacy Training for Start-Up Capital (KITs) Support to Vocational Certified LNYB Project Participants under the LNYB(DANIDA) Project.
Introduction
SOS Children’s Villages Ethiopia is a child-focused and youth-serving organization committed to ensuring that children and young people grow in a caring environment and become self-reliant members of society. Through its various development and humanitarian interventions, SOS CVE promotes child safeguarding, youth empowerment, economic resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. The Leave No Youth Behind (LNYB) Project is one of the strategic interventions implemented by SOS CVE to support vulnerable and unemployed young care leavers through vocational skills development, entrepreneurship promotion, financial inclusion, and access to economic opportunities. As part of the project intervention, vocationally certified youth participants are planned to receive start-up KIT support to establish or strengthen their own Income Generating Activities (IGAs). To ensure effective utilization of support and improve sustainability of businesses, LNYB Project plans to provide Life Skills and Financial Literacy training to eligible project participants before the distribution of start-up KITs.

To address these gaps, LNYB project intends to conduct integrated Life Skills and Financial Literacy Training for selected LNYB project participants who are eligible for start-up KIT support.
